What was the biggest challenge you faced while putting Fire It Up Fest together?

Rix Boker: Getting everything together. We built the stage, promoted, and booked the show ourselves.

Fire It Up Fest was a charity event. Can you tell me a little more about that?

Rix Boker: This event was not charity, but it wasn’t for profit either. It was designed to help build and bring the music scene together.

Are there plans for Fire It Up Fest 2016?

Rix Boker: Yes, there will be Fire It Up Fest 2016. If what we are already looking into comes through there’s good reason to be excited for next year. We will be doing another fest at Big Rock as well

The event was held at Big Rock Inn. Is there any hope for an all-ages venue next time?

Rix Boker: We are looking into other venues to make the event all ages with more stages

Firing All Cylinders-2Last time I talked to Firing All Cylinders you mentioned new music was on the horizon. Do you have any updates?

Rix Boker: Keep an eye out because it’s in the works.

Is there anything else you want to say to the readers of By the Barricade?

Rix Boker: Great things are coming in the near future. Keep your eyes open and your head up.
